Eisley at Bowery Ballroom

Last night I was happy to watch Eisley headline the Bowery Ballroom.

The band played lots of songs from the latest EP and the last album, The Valley.

Although they didn’t play the standout tracks “Just Like We Do” and “Ten Cent Blues,” they did play older songs like “Golly Sandra,” “Marvelous Things,” and “I Wasn’t Prepared.”

Enjoy the photos and video I took from the show.

Photos: Girl In A Coma – 2/28/12

Last night at Bowery Ballroom, I saw Girl In A Coma live for the first time.

The band played several songs off the latest album, Exits and All The Rest, as well as older songs. Their standout cover of Patsy Cline’s “Walking After Midnight” imbued the song with newfound energy.

The highlight of Girl In A Coma’s set was the penultimate song (and single) “Smart.”

Below is an acoustic version of ”Walking After Midnight” from 2010:

A.A. Bondy at Bowery Ballroom: 11/22/2011

Last night, I took photos of A.A. Bondy (with opener Gold Leaves) playing at NY’s Bowery Ballroom.

Gold Leaves’ best song was “The Ornament,” the penultimate song in their set.

A.A. Bondy played mostly new songs, and he sadly didn’t play “Lovers’ Waltz.”

It’s a Shame About Ray

The Lemonheads are currently on tour playing their 1992 album It’s a Shame About Ray.

Although the band’s first night at the Bowery Ballroom was a disaster, they managed to play the album’s title track well a few nights before:
