The iTunes Celebrity Playlist by Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page had so much good music we couldn’t fit it all into one post.
The best song they recommend is “Home” by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros:
Two other songs from their playlist deserve mention here:
“Dandelions in Bullet Holes” by Sarah Harmer:
“Islands in the Stream” by The Constantines and Feist:
Lastly, Barrymore recommends listening to Jenny Lewis, whose first solo album Rabbit Fur Coat was Barrymore’s “favorite album of 2006.” Page didn’t say anything about Jenny Lewis in the podcast, but I saw Ellen Page at a Jenny Lewis concert in LA last year @ the Orpheum theatre.
iTunes has a great new celebrity playlist by Drew Barrymore and Ellen Page.
Promoting their movie Whip It, Barrymore and Page have compiled a list of their favorite songs. They made a 30 minute podcast describing and playing clips of the songs. You can listen to it by clicking the iTunes link on your right.
Although there’s a wealth of wonderful music that Barrymore and Page share, After The Show has compiled the top best songs from their sonic suggestions:
“1901″ by Phoenix:
“Suffer for Fashion” by Of Montreal:
“Trouble” by Ray LaMontagne:
“Walking on a Dream” by Empire of the Sun:
“The Step and the Walk” by The Duke Spirit:
After we wrote about the movie Whip It soundtrack’s highlights here, Blogger Darci recommended a song on the soundtrack: “Unattainable” by Little Joy.
